Introducing Paragraph

Paragraph definition varies among experts, however, the core meaning relatively the same. as a student of english departement we must to learn , understand of paragraph . Following some of those characther like this:

1.      A basic unit of organization in writing in which a group of related sentences develops one main idea.

2.      A group of sentences and that the first sentence of this group is indented. From those two characteristic it is clear that a paragraph is a small unit of organization in writing in which all related sentences develop one main idea. Let me introducing about some type genre for how to write your field study in a paragraph  there are Narrative, Descriptive, Expository please enjoy to read.

A.    Definition Narrative text

Narrative text is a text which contain about story (fiction or non fiction /tales/folktales) and its plot consists of climax of the story (complication) then followed by the resolution. And the purpose of  a narrative text is to amuse or to entertain the reader with a story and more spesifically Narrative deal with problematic events which lead to a crisis or turning point of some kind, which in turn finds a resolution, and then for the example story telling like Pinokio, Snow White, cinderella.

B.     Genericn Structure of Narrative

A narrative text consists of the following structures:

1.      Orientation: Introducing the participants and informing the place and the time, and then introduce some characters involved in this genre.

2.      Complication: Tells the beginning of the problems which leads to the crisis (climax) of the main participants.

3.      Resolution:The problem (the crisis) is resolved, either in a happy ending or in a sad (tragic) ending.

4.      Re-orientation/Coda: This is a closing remark to the story and it is optional. It consists  of  a  moral  lesson,  advice  or  teaching  from  the writer

C.     Language forms of Narrative

1.      Using processes verbs: narrates, tell, says.

2.      Using temporal conjunction: Chronological order.

3.      Using Simple Past tense:Present tense, and Future Tense, Present Perfect, Present Continuous, and past continuous.

 

A.    The Definition of Descriptive text

Descriptive text is a text which presents information about something specifically.

The purpose of decriptive text : to describe a particular person or thing or place specifically.

B. The Generic Structure of descriptive text:

1. Topic Sentence

2. Supporting Sentences

3. Conluding Sentence

4. Logical development

C.  Language Feature of descriptive text:

1. using simple present tense

2. Using adjective.

3.The use of has or have.

A.    Definition of Exspository text

Expository text is a text that tells you facts about an event are how to do something.It also can give insight. An expository is a nonfiction, and can be found in things such as textbooks, encyclopedias, biographies and newspapers.

B.     Generic Structure

1.      Topic Sentence

2.      Suporting Sentence: example, detail, charts

3.      Concluding Sentence

C.     Language Feature :

1.      Using indefinite transitions

2.      Using process verbs: Begin, start, become, remain, develop, end finish.

3.      Using Question work mark , such as how and

4.      Using chart, graphics, and other visual aids.

5.      Using present tenses either verbal or nominal

Concluding of paragraph

Do you like writing ? when you heard the woed “writing” what is the first thing which comes to your head? Is it complicated? Is it boring activity to be done ? or is it interesting ? I believe that writing actually develop my capacity to understand and to use language . I am going to be able to learn everything. More complex in words. I think , writing is a worth learning. It can be said that the benefits of writing value .so we as student must to study about how tow write paragraph.
